Virginia has been attending Heart Of Mesa since she was born. She grew up here! While in the youth ministry, she felt God's call upon her life to serve in youth ministry. In high school, she met her husband, Rick, and they eventually married in 2009. After graduating high school, Virginia served in several church plants in the Phoenix area.
In 2013, Virginia was called to the youth director position at Heart Of Mesa. Virginia is passionate about reaching, building, and equipping students for their walks with Jesus. Virginia is focused on building relationships with every student she meets so she can effectively influence them towards Christ.

Ken Schroth is Bi-Vocational Pastor that was led by the Lord to begin the Celebrate Recovery Ministry in 2006. He has been in the Ministry since 1990 where, after being totally delivered from drugs and alcohol and a lifetime addictive excesses, began to help people better their lives as well. He began as a youth minister and that is where he developed a no bull philosophy of teaching and preaching. He was youth minister at Heart of Mesa for 8 years. He then moved up to Payson Arizona to do estimating and purchasing for a custom home builder in that area (That is what he does for a living) and ended up pastoring a small little mission church in the middle of the woods in Tonto Village Arizona. After 8 years of ministering to that body of believers he and his wife Margaret were called back down to the valley of the Son due to a slowdown in the economy. Upon arriving back in the valley, he began working for a Premier Luxury Home Builder and Began Celebrate Recovery, again at the Heart of Mesa. He continues to do both to this day. Delivered from a life of self-destruction, he celebrates life on a daily basis making the most of every day. He says the Recovery has been the most demanding of his 3 ministries, but it has also been the most Rewarding. His two sons as well as his two daughter-in-laws also work in the ministry with him along with his wife Margaret. It truly is a family affair investing in the lives of God’s people who struggle to overcome their hurts, habits and hang-ups. His favorite saying on change is this “When the pain of staying the same, becomes greater than the pain of the change, then you will change… and not until.
