What Freedom Isn’t reflection

What Freedom Isn’t
Romans 6:1-14

Big Idea of the Message: Freedom isn’t a license to do what we want or to pursue our own pleasure.

Application Point: Consider what messages you hear about freedom. Practice using Paul’s understanding of freedom as an antidote, and share it with a friend.

Questions to ponder:

  1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
  2. What messages about freedom do you hear from friends, work, or other places?
  3. What do you think freedom is?
  4. How does this week’s message challenge your ideas of freedom or encourage you to live differently?
  5. What guardrails around your own personal freedoms might be healthy to put up for the flourishing of your faith and of others in your community?
Additional Scripture to Meditate on: Galatians 5:13-15; 1 Peter 2:16

One Response to “What Freedom Isn’t reflection”

  1. Don Bachelder says:

A born-again believer is not a slave to sin however we are not sinless. I want my prayers answered so I have to recognize my sin and be cleansed within, before I approach the throne of His glory.
